Ballincollig Gunpowder Mills Walks
Posted by alice on August 11th, 2009.This just in from Jenny Webb: We’re doing two gunpowder mills walks for heritage week this year. Sunday 23rd and Sunday 30th. Meet at the GAA end of the regional park outside the old visitors centre at 1.45pm. Walk should take 2 hours. Wear strong footwear. Enjoy a walk through the woods and learn how gunpowder was made in the 19th century with reference to the surviving buildings.
