National Irish Bank Community Grant Scheme

National Irish Bank Community Grants of between euro 500 and euro 5,000 are awarded once a year in each of National Irish Bank’s five regions to support local community projects and community projects and organisations around Ireland.
How to Apply for a Grant
Collect an application form from your local National Irish Bank branch, complete and return it to your branch, or download a form (link below), print off and once completed, return it to your branch. Please return your completed form to your local branch or email it to communitygrants@nationalirishbank.ie

Deadline: 30 September 2008

Anyone may apply for support from National Irish Bank Community Grants, with the exception of individuals and businesses.

What initiatives and projects qualify for support?

  • It must promote educational projects, training or knowledge based activities in your community
  • It must be open to the general public – i.e. it must benefit the local community in general
  • It must benefit the local community. By this, we mean that it must be of local origin and must be carried out locally. It is, therefore, not possible to obtain support for travel outside of the region. However, it is possible to apply for support to fund visits from visiting lecturers, trainers etc
  • Support will not be awarded to projects with a religious or political purpose nor for the general operating costs of associations, sports clubs, etc.
